Publishers, libraries, authors, and service businesses hand out SilkCards bookmarks when the piece has to be kept, not binned.
Silk-laminated 16pt bookmarks, printed full color and full bleed. Silky smooth to the touch, tear and water resistant, and built to survive being carried around inside a book for a year. Bookstores sell bookmarks like these for a few dollars each. Yours carries your name instead.

Silk 16pt pricing, silk or gloss UV lamination on both sides included.
Most bookmarks are the classic 2" x 7" tall format, and that is what the pricing above covers. When the piece needs to be wider, longer, or cut to a shape, we price that too. Standard 2" x 7" and die-cut shapes are priced on this page. Custom sizes are quote-based.
The classic bookmark proportion, 51mm x 178mm. Fits every trade paperback and hardcover, and it is the efficient workhorse for handouts.
Choose this format →Wider, longer, or square. Useful when the bookmark doubles as a rack card, a shelf talker, or a program insert.
Request a size →Standard or laser die cutting so the bookmark is not just another rectangle. Rounded corners at 3mm, 6mm, or 9mm are also available.
Request a shape →The whole SilkCards finish library applies here — same process, same craft. Add only the finishes that fit the piece; we confirm compatibility with your stock and size before production.

Foil, spot-UV, die-cut, colored edges, and emboss. The same premium finishes as our business cards, at bookmark size.
“I cannot thank this company enough! My business cards are absolutely fabulous and I have received so many compliments on them. The pictures will not do them justice. I got the suede finish, 48 pt thick cards with silver foil on one side and the edges. They are so luxurious.”
See the finishes on screen. Confirm the decision in your hand. Your free sample kit lets you feel foil, spot-UV, silk lamination, and soft-touch on premium stock, and see how the colors really print, before you commit.
Our custom design service turns your logo, colors, and direction into a complete front-and-back bookmark, with correct bleed, safe zones, and any foil or spot-UV set up to register perfectly on a narrow 2" panel. Already have print-ready artwork? Upload it and skip the design charge.
Flyers get recycled. Business cards go in a drawer. A bookmark gets used, every night, for as long as the book lasts. That is months of quiet brand exposure from a single, inexpensive piece.
Bookstores sell bookmarks for $3 to $5 because people want them. Give one away and you are giving a small gift, not handing someone an ad.
Silk lamination on both sides gives the stock a soft, low-glare surface that feels expensive the moment it is picked up, and it resists scratches better than gloss.
16pt stock laminated on both sides survives a year in a bag, a spilled coffee, and a thousand page turns without softening at the corners.
The same craft as our business cards: foil, spot-UV, die-cut, colored edges, emboss and deboss. Same process, narrower canvas.
Every SilkCards bookmark is 16pt, the premium weight that stays flat inside a book and feels like it cost something. The choice is not how thick it is; it is how the surface behaves. Silk laminated is smooth, low-glare, and the more scratch-resistant of the two. Gloss UV laminated is high-shine and makes color pop off the page.
Smooth, silky, low-glare surface on both sides. More scratch resistant than gloss, and the best base for foil and spot-UV. Priced on this page.
High-shine surface on both sides that makes photography and saturated color read brighter. Confirmed with your build.
Want a soft-touch, velvet feel instead? Suede 16pt is available as a stock upgrade and takes spot-UV beautifully. Priced on request.
The entire SilkCards finish library applies to bookmarks. This is the whitespace: while everyone else prints a flat rectangle, your bookmark can be felt.
Silver, gold, rose gold, copper, and a full color range. The one finish that reads across a room and catches light on a dark cover.
See in a sample →High-gloss detail over the laminated surface, on one side or both. Available on Silk and Suede stock.
See in a sample →Custom shapes, a 3mm, 6mm, or 9mm corner radius, and a band of metallic or fluorescent color painted on the edge.
See in a sample →Pressed relief that adds dimension without ink. Quiet, tactile, and unmistakably premium.
See in a sample →Every use rewards a different finish and format. We help match the stock, shape, and finish to how the piece will be handled.
The retail-quality bookmark you can sell at the counter or slip into every order, printed at a cost per piece that makes either one work.
02Foil the title, spot-UV the cover art, and hand out something signable at readings and signings.
03Reading programs, summer challenges, and due-date reminders on stock that survives a semester in a backpack.
04Contact details that live on a nightstand for a year instead of in a recycling bin by Friday.
05The one thing on the table people actually pick up, at a per-piece cost low enough to give away by the thousand.
06Variable data for member numbers, a perforated donation stub, and a keepsake supporters hold onto.
A flat bookmark competes on price. A finished one competes on nothing, because there is nothing else in the giveaway pile like it. Foil, spot-UV, and colored edges turn a handout into a piece people keep, and Suede 16pt gives the whole bookmark a soft-touch, velvet feel.

2 inches by 7 inches (51mm x 178mm) is our standard bookmark size, and it is the pricing shown on this page. At 300 DPI that is a 600 x 2100 pixel artwork area. It fits trade paperbacks and hardcovers without sticking out of the top, which is the whole reason the proportion became standard. Custom sizes are available and quoted on request.
Bookmarks print on premium 16pt Silk stock, laminated on both sides. You choose the lamination surface: silk lamination is smooth, low-glare, and more scratch resistant, while gloss UV lamination is high-shine and makes saturated color pop. Suede 16pt is available as a soft-touch velvet upgrade, priced on request. All three are the same premium 16pt weight; the choice is how the bookmark feels, not how thick it is.
Yes. The SilkCards finish library applies to bookmarks: foil stamping in silver, gold, rose gold, copper and a full color range; spot-UV on one side or both (on Silk and Suede stock); custom die cutting in standard or laser; emboss and deboss on the front, the back, or both; colored edges in metallic, fluorescent, or standard ink; rounded corners at 3mm, 6mm, or 9mm; PMS ink; perforation, scoring, and folding; and variable data. These are exactly what commodity bookmark printers don't offer.
That is the point of the construction. 16pt stock laminated on both sides is tear resistant and water resistant, and it stays flat inside a book instead of curling at the corners. Silk lamination is the more scratch-resistant of the two surfaces, so a bookmark that lives in a bag for a year still looks like it did on day one.
Yes. The front prints full color and full bleed, and you choose the back when you build; a full-color back is added to the base price. Both sides are laminated. Most bookmarks use the front for the image or message and the back for details, a reading list, contact information, or a QR code.
Screens show color in light (RGB); print reproduces it in ink (CMYK), so some shift is normal, which is exactly why we recommend confirming before a full run. Order a free sample kit to see how our stock and finishes reproduce color, and request a proof of your artwork before production so there are no surprises. Building files in CMYK gives the most predictable result. We print CMYK 4-color process at 200 LPI.
Standard production time is 6 working days. That is an estimate, and premium add-ons such as foil, die cutting, or colored edges can extend it, so tell us your deadline at order time. For files: supply print-ready artwork at 300 DPI or higher in CMYK, with 1/8 inch bleed on all sides, making the final artwork size 2.125 inches by 7.125 inches. Keep important text inside the safe zone away from the trim. We accept .AI, .EPS, .PDF, .PSD, .TIFF, and .JPG, and vector files (.AI, .EPS) are always suggested for the best print quality.
Bookmarks start at 1,000 pieces. Quantities run 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, and 5,000, and custom quantities are available on request. Because you order directly from SilkCards, the price you see is the real price rather than a reseller markup.
Yes. Variable data printing lets you run unique names, member numbers, promo codes, or serial numbers across the order, which is useful for memberships, tracked campaigns, and numbered launch editions. Tell us the data field and we'll confirm setup with your artwork.
Yes. Perforation adds a tear-off stub for a coupon, a reply card, or a raffle entry, and scoring or score-and-fold turns the bookmark into a two-panel piece with room for a reading list or a longer message. Both are priced when you add them to your build.
Select your quantity and print features first so the price reflects every add-on, then review the product details and turnaround. Add the item to your cart and upload your files, keeping each add-on on its own layer, and add any notes before checkout. Once you have an order number our team reviews the files, payment processes if the files are approved, and our proofing staff emails a finalized proof within 24 hours. Production begins after you approve the proof, and your tracking number appears in Order History when the job ships.
Choose the quantity, add the finish, and see your price as you build, then order the piece your message deserves.
