That is the first thing to settle, and yes — the card can carry a magnetic stripe or a barcode or QR code, whichever your system reads. Stripes come in two strengths and can be encoded on either track, or both. Tell us which platform you use before production and we will confirm the encoding matches, rather than printing first and discovering it afterwards.
Yes. Sequential numbering gives each card a unique number, and variable data can print anything that changes from card to card — codes, names, values — from a list you supply. That is what makes a gift card program trackable: each card is individually identifiable at the till and in your reporting.
Yes — a scratch-off PIN panel covers the code with a removable silver layer, so the number is only exposed once the card is bought and scratched. It is the standard way to keep cards safe on an open rack where anyone can pick one up.
The card is built for it. Solid 30mil PVC survives being carried, swiped, and handled repeatedly without fraying or creasing, so a card can come back to the till many times. Whether balances can be topped up is a function of your gift-card platform rather than the card itself — the plastic is simply durable enough to keep up with it.
Gloss for a standard high-shine card, silk for a smooth matte surface, frosted for a translucent look, and pearlescent in silver or gold for a metallic shimmer. A lighter 12mil stock is also available for high-volume, shorter-term promotions. Every surface is priced openly on this page.
The minimum is 250 cards, at the standard credit-card size of 3.375" x 2.125" — the size that fits a wallet, a card rack, and a card reader. Every order is produced to your specifications and quality-checked before it ships.
