Trusted By Working Brands
Apparel labels, furniture makers, wholesalers, and product brands print their line books with SilkCards.
Saddle stitched catalogs and line books, printed full color and full bleed, with a cover stock you choose separately from the interior. Eight to thirty-two pages as standard, any size you need, and the full finish library on the cover. Every catalog is built to spec, so every catalog is quoted to spec.
Quoted to spec · 500 to 5,000 · 12 working days
A catalog is not one product with one price. Page count, size, cover stock, interior stock, quantity, and finishes all move the number, and no honest price list can cover that many combinations. So we quote each one properly instead of pretending otherwise. Start with the length below and we will take it from there.
Catalogs run from 8 to 32 pages as standard, in four-page steps, because a saddle stitched book is built from folded sheets. Longer books and other binding methods are available on request.
Page counts include the cover. Quantities run 500 to 5,000, or custom.

A short-run look book or a single product line. Enough for a cover, an intro spread, and a focused set of products.
8 pages (2 sheets including the cover), 500 to 5,000 or a custom run. Tell us the length, quantity, and finishes and we come back with a real number. Most quotes come back within 1 or 2 working days.
Room for a story spread up front before the products start. A common choice for a seasonal drop.
12 pages (3 sheets including the cover), 500 to 5,000 or a custom run. Tell us the length, quantity, and finishes and we come back with a real number. Most quotes come back within 1 or 2 working days.
The workhorse catalog length. Cover, brand story, and several product categories without feeling thin.
16 pages (4 sheets including the cover), 500 to 5,000 or a custom run. Tell us the length, quantity, and finishes and we come back with a real number. Most quotes come back within 1 or 2 working days.
Space for lifestyle photography between product spreads, so the catalog reads as editorial rather than as a list.

This is the choice most catalogs get wrong. A heavy, finished cover with a lighter interior gives you a book that feels substantial to pick up without becoming expensive to print or heavy to mail. You pick both independently. 16pt Suede is our default cover. Any stock below can be used for either the cover or the interior.
| Stock | Weight | Where it works |
|---|---|---|
| 100# text gloss | 157gsm | A bright, economical interior sheet that keeps photography saturated and the mailing weight down. |
| 100# silk | 157gsm | A smooth matte interior that is easier on the eye across long stretches of copy and spec tables. |
| 100# gloss UV | 157gsm | High shine for interiors that are carried by product photography rather than text. |
| 100# suede | 157gsm | A soft-touch interior. Unusual, and immediately noticeable when someone turns the first page. |
| 12pt silk | 250gsm | A cover with real board feel, or a heavyweight divider between sections of a longer book. |
| 12pt suede | 250gsm | Soft-touch with weight behind it. A cover that gets commented on before it is opened. |
| 16pt silk | 350gsm | Our heaviest silk cover. Smooth, matte, scratch resistant, and the best base for spot UV. |
| 16pt suede | 350gsm | The default cover. Maximum weight and a velvet soft-touch face. The most premium option we offer. |
The whole SilkCards finish library applies here — same process, same craft. Add only the finishes that fit the piece; we confirm compatibility with your stock and size before production.
Premium finishes are priced by quote — tell us the finish, size, and quantity and we'll confirm the add-on.
| Finish | Price | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Foil (flat) | Quote | Metallic accents — gold, silver, copper, and 38 foil colors in all — that catch the light. |
| Spot-UV (flat gloss) | Quote | A high-gloss layer over matte — contrast you see as the piece turns. |
| Die-cut (custom shape) | Quote | A custom outline or rounded corners so the piece is not just another rectangle. |
| Emboss / deboss | Quote | Pressed relief that adds dimension without ink. |
Finish add-ons scale with the size of the run. Tell us the finish, size, and quantity and we'll confirm the add-on.

Quoting Without The Runaround
Catalogs are quoted rather than priced on a table because page count, size, stocks, quantity, and finishes multiply into more combinations than a price list can honestly hold.
Apparel labels, furniture makers, wholesalers, and product brands print their line books with SilkCards.
Order from the team that prints, binds, and finishes the job, not a storefront passing it to someone else.
Tell us the spec and get a price for exactly that build, so you know what the catalog costs before you order it.
Foil, spot-UV, emboss, and die cut. The same premium finishes as our business cards, on a catalog cover.
“Rated 4.7 stars by 452+ customers on Google.”
See the finishes on screen. Confirm the decision in your hand. Your free sample kit lets you feel foil, spot-UV, silk, and soft-touch suede on premium stock, and see how the colors really print, before you commit to a catalog run.
A catalog is the longest thing we print, and it is the one where layout does the most work: grid, spread rhythm, where the story pages sit against the product pages, and how the spec tables stay readable. Our custom design service covers page layout, correct bleed and gutter allowance, and any foil or spot UV set up to register on the cover. Already have print-ready spreads? Upload them and skip the design charge.
Nobody sits down with an email. A catalog gets picked up, flipped through, put down, and picked up again, sometimes for a whole season. That is a completely different kind of attention, and it rewards a completely different kind of production.
A good catalog does not get read once and binned. It sits in a buyer's office as the reference for your line, which is months of presence from one print run.
Before a single product is seen, the cover has already told someone what tier of company they are dealing with. A soft-touch 16pt cover with foil says it faster than any headline.
If you have invested in product photography, a cheap interior sheet throws it away. Stock choice is the difference between images that look rich and images that look flat.
The same craft as our business cards: 38 foil colors, spot UV, emboss, and die cut. Same process, considerably more pages.
Because you choose the two stocks independently, the smart build is usually the same: put the weight and the finish where it is felt, and keep the interior light enough to print and mail economically. A 16pt suede or silk cover gives the book its heft and its first impression. A 100# text interior keeps the page count affordable without letting the photography down.
Silk for a smooth, scratch-resistant matte that takes spot UV beautifully. Suede for soft-touch velvet. 16pt suede is our default.
Gloss for saturated product photography, silk for long stretches of copy, suede if you want the surprise of soft-touch inside too.
Not sure which combination is right? Say what the catalog is for in your quote request and we will recommend a pairing.
Most catalog printers give you a gloss cover and a page count. The cover is the one surface where a finish changes whether the book gets opened at all, and it is the cheapest place to spend.
Any foil in the range, from classic metallics to holographic and patterned. On a cover, foil is what makes the book get picked up first.
See in a sample →High-gloss detail over a matte cover, or a die-cut window that frames the first product before the book is opened.
See in a sample →Pressed relief on the cover that adds dimension without ink, felt before the book is opened.
See in a sample →A buyer, a consumer, and a specifier all want a different book. We help match the length, stocks, and finish to who is turning the pages.
The reference a buyer keeps on the desk all season, with room for SKUs, sizing, and case quantities at the back.
02Lifestyle photography given the paper it deserves, with a soft-touch cover that matches the clothes inside.
03Large-format spreads and heavier stock for products that are sold on material and finish.
04Spec tables that stay readable, on a silk interior that does not fight the eye across long technical sections.
05The book a rep hands over and leaves behind, built to survive a case and a week on the road.
06Short, heavy, wipeable books that get handled hundreds of times and still look right.
The interior is where the information lives, but the cover is where the decision is made. Moving from a standard cover to 16pt suede with foil is the single change that most alters how a catalog is received, and on a run of a thousand books it is a smaller line on the quote than most people expect.
Page count, size, quantity, stocks, finishes. Four questions and a working day or two, and you'll know exactly what your catalog costs.
