Not sure yet?

You’ll understand the differencewhen you hold it.

Photos can show the finish. They can’t show the weight, the soft-touch of suede, or the way a foil edge catches the light in the handoff. The free sample kit lets you feel suede, silk, foil, Spot UV and edge finishes before you build — and it ships to your door.

Design help

You design it. We make it land in print.

You don’t need us to design it — you need it executed flawlessly. Send your file and our production team sweats the registration, the foil trap, the die-line, and the proof. Pro-Dealer pricing for the work you order on repeat.

The portfolio-piece problem

Your card is a portfolio piece. A generic, badly-printed card says the opposite of everything your work says about you.

A prospect judges your eye for craft the second they hold your card. If the foil is misregistered, the Spot UV is off, or the stock feels flimsy, the work hasn’t even been seen yet and the impression is already set. Most printers flatten exactly the details you obsess over.

For a designer whose business is taste and execution, a poorly-printed card quietly contradicts the pitch.

What a designer’s card has to do

Prove the craft. Execute to spec. Get passed around the studio.

01

Prove the craft

The finish and execution are the work sample — they tell a client you sweat the details before they’ve seen a single project.

02

Get passed around

A beautifully-made card doesn’t get tossed. It gets kept, pinned up, and shown to the next person who needs a designer.

03

Execute to spec

Foil tight, Spot UV registered, die-line clean. The card has to land exactly as your file intends — no printer surprises.

Plain-language guidance

Which finish, when.

Finish / material Best for Why it works for designers
Spot UV Brand-forward studios Glossy contrast on matte; showcases registration precision.
Foil (raised / holographic) Statement identities Metallic hero moment; the identity’s boldest expression.
Die-cut / shaped Ownable marks A custom shape makes the identity unmistakably yours.
Edge finishes Detail-obsessed Color or foil on the third side; finished from every angle.
Suede / Cotton stock Tactile-first designers Unusual hand-feel that pairs with foil and emboss.
Thick / layered stock Edge & sandwich builds Heft for painted edges, layered color cores, and face-cuts.

File-prep guidance

Set your file up so it prints exactly as designed.

Include

  • Bleed + safe margin on all four sides
  • CMYK build, with Pantone (PMS) for spot color & foil
  • Vector art for foil, Spot UV, and die-cut
  • 300dpi+ raster images
  • Fonts outlined / embedded
  • Die-line and Spot UV mask on their own layers

Avoid

  • RGB-only files for spot color or foil
  • Raster art on foil, Spot UV, or die-cut layers
  • Type or logos too close to the trim
  • Missing bleed
  • Flattened die-lines or merged spot layers
Production note (for designers): We speak your file. Send vector art for foil, Spot UV, and die-cut; build in CMYK + Pantone for spot & foil; keep the die-line and Spot UV mask on their own layers; add bleed and keep type off the trim. Unsure on a tricky build? We’ll proof it before you commit, and Pro-Dealer / trade pricing is available for repeat client work.
